Accomplishments of SBIG

  • New computer lab constructed with SBIG supporting the building and preparation of the lab with wiring, flooring, painting, windows, security, doors and internet access
  • 18 low voltage Inveneo desktop computers, 1 laptop, 1 laser printer, an LCD projector, and an innovative battery pack system
  • new library adjacent to the computer lab with shelves, tables and seating and over 2,500 books donated by Delbarton School in Morristown, the Summit Public Library as well as others in the area
  • 20 sets of Windows operating system software donated by Microsoft
  • instructional contact per child ranges from 1.3 to 2.45 hours per week
  • continued good performance in the BECE exams in ICT and other subjects
  • two other local public schools partner with GSO in utilizing the lab for a total of over 800 students benefitting from the lab
  • in 2012 all of the 36 students presented for the BECE passed their ICT exam
